Martin Lishman added a simple, dependable bin and silo monitoring device to its range of grain storage equipment at the 2014 Cereals Event in Cambridgeshire.
The Grain Gauge is designed to monitor the level of grain in bins and silos. The system is easy to install and requires no electricity.
As the grain reaches the activator on the device, the indicator turns from black to green, and glows in the dark at night. When the bin is unloaded the indicator returns to black. Multiple monitors can be installed up the bin or silo wall at key levels, to help reduce wastage by overfilling.
Gavin Lishman, managing director of Martin Lishman commented: “Previously, the only way to determine the level of grain was for staff to physically climb the bin. The Grain Gauge is clearly visible from ground level, which saves time and money, but most importantly increases farm safety.”
