SpanWright constructs pig fattening house

SpanWright, which has been supplying concrete products to the agricultural construction sector for over 25 years, is exhibiting at this year’s Agricultural Building Show on April 3rd at the Lincolnshire Showground.

One of the company’s projects has been to supply and fit pig slats and pig beams to a pig fattening house at Morton Grange Farm in the Yorkshire Dales.

The project was co-ordinated between a shuttering contractor and SpanWright. The design of the building dictated the shuttering requirements to support the slats, beams and roof. SpanWright and the shuttering contractor designed and positioned together the concrete pillars for the portal roof support.

The slat sizing was uniform and delivery and fitting of slats and beams was completed within a week.

Representatives of SpanWright will be manning stand no 24 at the ABS show.
