  2. Think about the future – do you need a general purpose building or will it be needed for different uses
  3. Understand how long you think you’ll need it for
  4. Choose your site wisely
  5. Seek advice from specialists
  6. Weigh up all your options
  7. Ensure the appearance of your building is in keeping with its surroundings
  8. Don’t forget the project management aspects
  9. Check the CE markings
  10. Take advice from specialists on building design
  11. Roofing:  The decision you make on your choice of roofing not only impacts on the appearance of the building, it is also a key health and welfare consideration.
  12. Materials used in livestock buildings also need to be able to withstand damp and humid conditions.
